As the summer of 2020 begins to wind down, I made time to visit The Crescent Beach Club in Bayville, Long Island. This gem is approximately 45 minutes from New York City. I must say, the views were breath-taking, and Linda Marie ensured she gave me a full and descriptive tour of the venue. What I liked most about this location was the positioning and views of the Long Island Sound, beautiful areas to capture the perfect wedding backdrop images, and the tasty margarita. I know your thinking, the hot weather will be ending soon. Wait for it... I have great news to share; The Crescent Beach Club is an all-season beachfront venue.
Currently, the venue is hosting micro weddings with a maximum guest count of 50. If you and bae have been yearning for an "intimate wedding," this could be it. All CDC guidelines are being adhered to and followed by staff. Dreaming about that hanging cake or fruit display, now is your chance to have it all. A decreased number in guests means you can be more over the top with the items you previously pushed out of mind. Gone are the worries about accommodating and paying for a larger celebration. During my visit, I was able to see the ballrooms, bridal suites, beachfront, and cocktail hour spaces. The ballrooms were illuminated by house lighting with the capability of color changes. The chivari chairs, beautiful carpet with a parquet dance floor were quite eye-catching.
When speaking with Linda Marie, I asked if they allowed floor decals and wraps, and she replied absolutely. Linda Marie cautioned any elaborate flooring, which would delay the start of an event following yours. The challenge is the ability to remove the enhanced floor decor in time for the next event.
As I walked through the venue, I traveled down to the main level (beach area). I observed the setup, which included tables and chairs and tents for cocktail hour. The beautiful palm trees gave the space a tropical feel. The staff at The Crescent Beach Club has focused on social distancing and safety. The beachfront white chairs were set for guests in pairs, skipping one row. In our current climate, you would want a venue that takes the time to revamp and reorganize its systems and structures to ensure safety. While walking in and out of various spaces, I noticed the hand sanitizing stations. Kudos to The Crescent Beach Club for being proactive and prepared for post-COVID-19.
