Wedding Planning Tips

  1. Work with your wedding planner to create a Go Fund Me account to help minimize out of pocket expenses. This will allow invited guest to donate instead of bring a gift to the wedding. This way, your cost is minimal.

  2. Select stationary that is ready to purchase and save on custom designed invites and save the dates.

  3. Google Alice’s Table for your wedding and bridal shower. You can have much fun working on your own floral with a representative. Cut out the florist all together and have fun while doing it.

  4. Try to fund your own bar expenses in lieu of the venue. This will save you hundreds.

  5. Check out Rent the Runway for your bachelorette party, bridal shower and bridesmaids attire. They offer a second dress in the next size at no additional cost. No worries about the right fit.

  6. If you don't mind guest being served buffet style in lieu of a full sit down dinner, speak to your banquet manager. The cost is higher as the venue will need more serving staff.

  7. Communicate with your florist that you wish to use artificial flowers for high areas out of reach of guest. Floral can become very expensive, so save where you can.

  8. Ask venues about the price difference for holidays or off peak wedding dates. Sometimes to stay within budget, you will need to make some adjustments.

  9. Keep it simple, opt to have the wedding and reception in the same location. This saves time and money as a limo will not need to transport you from point A to B.

  10. Work with your planner to create a playlist and save on an expensive DJ. Yes, it's nice to have a DJ, but if you could have your favorite hits playing through a playlist, why not.
